Photo Essay - On Thin Ice - Outside Magazine

I spent some time in Northern Michigan photographing one of the coolest (pun intended) sports you’ve probably never heard of for Outside Magazine. I had a blast trekking across frozen lakes and meeting the quirky collection of athletes, hobbyists, and fans that keep “hard water” racing alive. My fingers get numb just thinking about the cold but it was all worth it.
